Liz Galloway AaPS

Managing Director


Liz has been the Managing Director since 1999 and worked for Caldotec since 1994.


Liz brings knowledge through her HND Construction Studies together with extensive experience in Design, Project Management and Health & Safety. Liz is an Associate Member of the Association for Project Safety, a Health & Safety advisor with NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety & Health, and provides CDM-Coordination services for clients in a variety of sectors. She also provides contractors with Health & Safety documentation, policies and risk assessments.


Liz has experience of the procedures and requirements of both the Planning and Building Regulations processes as well as tendering and contractual processes.


Emma Weaver BSc(Hons)

Operations Director


Emma joined Caldotec in 2011 bringing a wealth of experience from her time working in London as Office and Operations Manager for a commercial fit out company, within the marketing, finance and human resources departments of an international Architect practice, a construction company, and a Quantity Surveying practice.


Emma was appointed as a Director of Caldotec in 2015 and now runs the business operations, overseeing all aspects of the projects in hand, potential leads, marketing, human resources, finances and manages the team.


Emma also heads up Caldotec’s Project Management service, utilising her overarching knowledge of the whole process from design, build and handover.


Russell McCourty BSc(Hons) MCIAT

Associate Director


Russell qualified as an Architectural Technologist in 2012 and currently heads up the technical team at Caldotec. He is responsible for providing architectural designs and technical detailing, submitting Planning Applications and Building Regulations submissions, and provides both 2D working drawings and 3D artistic imagery. He has worked on a vast number of projects since starting with Caldotec in 2012, from numerous residential extensions, loft conversions, and Listed conservation projects, through to varied commercial projects, and residential new-build homes for both private clients and developers.


Russell grew up in Worthing and, after moving to Bristol to study BSc(Hons) Architectural Technology & Design and then returning home to West Sussex after graduation, is well suited to understand the nuances of the area, offering fresh ideas while still maintaining respect for the character of the area.


João Marques ARQ

Architectural Designer


João qualified as an Architect in 2003 from the University of ARCA-EUAC, Coimbra in Portugal. He joined Caldotec as an Architectural Designer in 2016, having worked for several architectural practices in Portugal and the UK since graduating. João brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the residential, commercial and educational sectors. Having developed numerous projects from inception to completion João has experience in both design and site supervision.


He brings innovative design to his projects, with a keen interest in modern contemporary architecture, attention to detail and the latest construction methods and materials.


Kathryn Welch BSc(Hons)

Architectural Designer


Kathryn has worked within the Construction Industry since 2006 as an Architectural Designer and has extensive knowledge in Town Planning after working in a Planning Consultancy for 4 years.


Kathryn has worked on many varied projects through her career including many sites with a sensitive nature and is also familiar with larger projects in connection with local developers. She also takes a keen interest in the environment and tries to give regard to environmental impact on sites within her design where possible.


Kathryn has a BSc(Hons) in Landscape and Garden Design and with this brings another area of expertise to the Caldotec team.


Gail Hodgson



Gail joined our team in August 2015 as our Administration Assistant and brings over 25 years’ experience from her career in office management and administrative roles in various sectors, including the civil service and library services.


Gail manages the day to day running of our office, ensuring our team has support in all aspects of their activities and ensuring the office runs smoothly. She has become an invaluable part of the Caldotec team.
